* Eight free educational workshops per year-- Our workshops are designed to increase the knowledge and expertise in our profession. Each of our workshops meets the EEC requirements for two training hours.
* Special Events-- Activities are offered for daycare family’s and also provider social events. It is a fun time and a great way to socialize with our colleagues. Activities offered in the past for daycare include: circus, apple picking, children’s theater shows, field day, holiday parties, and craft times. Adult times offered have been dinner out, chat night, Foxwoods, theater, and paint night.
* CPR and First Aid--Offered twice a year (Spring and Fall) at a very low cost to members.
* Get Involved! - We encourage our members to run for positions on the Board and bring new ideas to keep our association fun, informative, and updated. Want to be involved but on a smaller scale than being a board member? Ask about volunteering on a committee.
Many of our events and workshops meet QRIS requirements. Members that would like documentation of their participation, can use the "FCCA QRIS letter." The FCCA QRIS letter is a self monitored form that an FCC provider fills out. Once the form is complete, as determined by their current QRIS needs, they need to bring it to an FCCA workshop. A board member will sign, date, and emboss the letter for authentication. FCCA QRIS letters that are not signed, dated, and embossed by a current FCCA board member are not valid for any purpose.
